Quaker Records give his birth date as 1d 2mo 1868. His death record and headstone say he was 65 years old when in fact he was only 64.

Crippled from a fall as a youngster and as a result had a steel plate in his head.

He was "of Hill House", Laurelvale. DMS & WLS/JRHG all say "married Kate H. Buckby, 10th May 1898 at St. George the Martyr Parish Church, Queen's Square..."

Hill House is situated about 150 yards to the southeast of Thomas Sinton's former linen mill. It was first lived in by Charles Bebe, a senior employee in the mill, and then by his son Robert. After Robert's marriage the house became the home of Alfred H H Sinton and his second wife Georgina. A modern bungalow has been built on what was the 'Croquet Lawn' in the gardens to the front of the house.
