Living at 62 Harvie Street, Glasgow at time of marriage. From 1901 Census - Living at 162 Boden Street, Bridgeton, Glasgow. Where Born given as England. After her husband James died 1923 in Scotland, she came to Northern Ireland and lived at Quality Hill, Laurelvale, Tandragee, Co. Armagh. Daughter Sarah met Reuben Wilson while living in Laurelvale. He went to Canada and when he became established there Sarah joined him. They were married in 1928. This would suggest that Emma came to Laurelvale in 1927 after the marriage of her son William. Her son Robert came to Laurelvale sometime between 6 Nov 1928 and 6 Mar 1929. Daughter Alice probably came to Laurelvale with Emma. Son Wallace was in Portadown from late 1920's to mid 1950's. He married and had five children before emigrating to Canada. More research is needed to find out when Emma came to Laurelvale. Mabel Holmes (née Speers) remembers Emma as very good at knitting and crochet work. [RFSS Dec 2002] |

James's address given as 59 Durin Street, Glasgow. Emma's address given as 62 Harvie Street, Glasgow. Witnesses Alexander Elliott and Hannah Everton. James's mother's maiden name is given as Grinlee, which equates to the local pronunciation of the surname Greenlee in her home townland of Marlacoo, Co. Armagh, Ireland. [RFSS Aug 2005] |
